The Making of a Memory Verse | Behind the Scences

Most people only see the finished video.

They see the Bible verse.
They hear the teaching.
They watch the graphics and transitions.
They hear the encouragement.

But behind every short memory verse video is a lot of intentional work, prayer, creativity, problem-solving, and learning.

Recently, I wanted to give our Proclaim Partners a little behind-the-scenes look at how these videos are actually made.

In this video, I walk through my current recording setup as I prepare to film a new memory verse lesson for kids. I show the teleprompter, camera setup, Ecamm Live workflow, Stream Deck controls, and how I’m recording both horizontal and vertical versions at the same time to help us reach kids and families on different platforms.

To some people, that may just sound like “tech stuff.”

But for me, it represents something much bigger.

Every tool is simply another way to help kids and teens connect faith and life.

Right now, most of the video editing is still being done by me personally. That means I’m constantly trying to find better systems that allow us to create more biblical resources while spending less time buried in editing software. One of my goals is to eventually build a workflow where much of the production happens live during recording so we can focus more energy on creating meaningful content instead of just processing files afterward.

And honestly, this process reminds me of something important:

Ministry is often built in the unseen moments.

Long before a child hears a Bible verse…
Long before a parent shares a video…
Long before a teacher presses play in a classroom…
There are quiet moments of preparation, learning, testing, adjusting, and simply trying to faithfully use what God has placed in our hands.

That’s part of why I wanted to share this video with you.

Not because the equipment is important…
…but because the mission is.

I hope this behind-the-scenes look encourages you, gives you insight into the process, and reminds you that every prayer, every partnership, every shared video, and every act of support helps us continue creating resources that point kids and teens toward truth..
