Day 12 Psalm 15 | 40 Days of Prayer in the Book of Psalm

Psalm 15 is short, but there's a lot packed in here. I find myself checking off the list of things that I know I'm doing well. But then there's that part in verse 2, "speaks truth in his heart." This stops me. I have an ideal version of myself, the kind of person I want to be. Then there is the actual person that I am. There is value in not living up to some image we have created of ourselves, but we need to speak the truth to ourselves.
