All Christians are plagiarists. We take credit for the work that Jesus Christ did on the cross; work we did not do, work we could not do, and work we would not want to do. Jesus took our penalty for sin on Himself and paid for it in our place. As believers, we stand righteous before a Holy God, not because of our work, but because of Jesus Christ's work. He paid for our sins once and for all. Our faith in Jesus Christ is credited to us as righteousness. It is a free gift if we will accept it.
