Guard Your Kids’ Hearts: A Simple Challenge for Parents

Mister Brown

As a parent, I try to be careful about what my kids eat physically. But recently I started asking a deeper question: What are they consuming spiritually? In this video, I share a simple moment from Sunday school that turned into an important reflection for parents. When I asked the kids what song they woke up with in their heads, their answers reminded me how powerful music really is.

Songs stick with us. Lyrics repeat in our minds, and what gets planted in our hearts often shows up later in life. This isn’t about being legalistic or criticizing anyone. I’m talking to myself too. While we can’t control everything our kids hear in the world, we can shape what they hear in our homes and cars.

What if the songs stuck in our kids’ heads reminded them who they are in Christ?

Watch now and join the conversation.

Then talk about it with your family: What are we feeding our kids spiritually?
