We All Need A Hero!

Mister Brown

Growing up, I wanted to be a superhero. I wanted to be the man who rescued everyone and had it all figured out. But if I’m being honest, I’ve realized something: I ain’t got this. We often feel the pressure to perform, especially as men, but we aren't the heroes of our own stories.

In this episode of Connecting Faith and Life, I’m sharing why we all need a hero, and why that hero is Jesus Christ. We’ll look at how staying connected to Him, our true source, is the only way to find real freedom and purpose. Whether you’re a father, a mentor, or just trying to navigate life, I hope this encourages you to stop relying on yourself and start abiding in Him.

Questions for personal reflection:

When you look at your life, what "superhero" pressure do you feel the most (e.g., providing, solving problems, looking like you have it all together)?

What is the difference between producing fruit and bearing fruit?

How can we as men (or parents/leaders) help those we disciple feel comfortable admitting they don't have it all figured out?
