Can You Get To Heaven By Being A Good Person?

No one can get to heaven by being a good person. That's because no one can ever be good enough on their own - we all need God. Galatians 3 shows us why we cannot be good enough and how much we need a savior. We can only be saved through God's grace and mercy. Remember this too, the goal isn't to get to heaven. The goal is to be right with God.

Definition: Salvation or to be saved means to be rescued from sin's penalty, sin's power, and one day sin's presence. The penalty for sin is death, Romans 6:23. When we trust Jesus Christ as our savior, we are free from the power of sin - we become right with God and one day we will be with Him in heaven.
