Day 8 1 Corinthians 10:13 | Overcoming Temptation: Your Guide to Resilience

Mister Brown

I’ve learned that temptation doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human. In Day 8 of Rooted and Ready, I reflect on 1 Corinthians 10:13 and the promise that God always provides a way of escape.

This verse carried me through moments when I felt isolated, ashamed, and convinced I was the only one struggling. I’ve discovered that God’s faithfulness shows up right in the pressure, not after it’s gone.

Watch now, reflect with me, and ask yourself this question: Will I look for the exit God already provided?

“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

Questions for personal reflection:

Why do you think temptation feels more powerful when we believe we’re alone?

What are some “exit signs” God has used in your life that you didn’t recognize at first?

How can accountability help you notice the way of escape sooner?

What practical step can you take this week when temptation shows up?
