[Audio] Have you had an X-ray or an MRI? X-rays and MRIs are a way for doctors to search within our bodies for problems that can't be seen from the outside. Psalm 139:23-24 is asking God to give us an MRI of sorts. It is a cry of vulnerability and transparency toward God to search our hearts. It is a cry for God to reveal our sins and to give us accountability. It expresses a willingness to be naked and unashamed before an all-powerful God.
Psalm 139:23-24 "Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!"
