Part 2 | When Doing Right Feels Wrong | Psalm 73

Mister Brown

In Part 2, I dig into the first movement of Psalm 73: the drift. Asaph knew God was good, but what he knew in his head started to feel shaky in real life. Why? Because comparison distorted his perspective.

When we look around too much, we can start exaggerating other people’s success while minimizing God’s faithfulness in our own lives. That is where the wobble begins. In this part, I also talk about the silent struggle many of us carry: feeling alone, misunderstood, and afraid to admit that we are struggling. But the truth is this: you are not alone. Watch now, share this with someone who feels weary in their faith, and ask yourself: where has comparison been weakening my confidence in God?

Questions for personal reflection:

Where have you seen comparison distort your perspective lately?

Why do you think comparison exaggerates other people’s success and minimizes God’s faithfulness?

Have you ever felt like you had to suffer in silence spiritually? What made it hard to speak up?

What does it mean to relate to others instead of comparing yourself to them?
