Guarding Your Kids’ Hearts Starts With This One Thing

Mister Brown

As a parent, I try to be careful about what my kids eat physically. But this week I started asking myself a deeper question: What are they consuming spiritually? In this video, I share a simple moment from Sunday school that can turn into an important conversation for parents. When I asked the kids what song they woke up with in their heads, the answers reminded me how powerful music really is.

Songs stick with us. Lyrics repeat in our minds. And what gets planted in our hearts often shows up later in our lives. This isn’t about being legalistic or criticizing anyone. I’m talking to myself as much as anyone else. As parents, we can’t control everything our kids hear in the world, but we can shape the environment in our homes and cars.

What if we helped our kids fill their minds with truth? What if the songs stuck in their heads reminded them who they are in Christ?

My goal isn’t guilt. It’s conversation. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Watch now and ask yourself: What are we feeding our kids spiritually? Then talk about it with your family.
