Day 14 Ephesians 2:8-9 | Salvation Isn’t About Trying Harder
Have you ever been rescued from something you couldn’t fix on your own? That’s what grace is. In this video, I walk through Ephesians 2:8–9 and unpack what it really means to be saved by grace through faith. Not effort. Not performance. Not religious checklists.
This verse reminds me that salvation isn’t about what I’ve done, it’s about what Jesus has already done. Grace is the rescuer, and faith is simply trusting Him.
Whether you’re a parent, a student, or a ministry leader, my prayer is that this conversation helps you rest in God’s gift and live from acceptance, not for it.
Watch now, reflect deeply, and ask yourself: am I trusting Jesus, or my performance?
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9
Questions for personal reflection:
Why do you think it’s hard for people to believe salvation is truly a gift?
Are you more likely to live for God’s acceptance or from God’s acceptance?
What does it look like to trust Jesus instead of trusting your own performance?
How does understanding grace change the way you respond when you mess up?
