9.15.26 | Consider Others, Parenting Pocket Guide & Free T Shirt | Proclaim PULSE
In this edition of Proclaim PULSE, I’m sharing a reminder that has become more meaningful to me the older I get: God is faithful.
Even when I haven’t been as faithful as I should be, God has remained faithful. I reflect on 2 Timothy 2:13, Philippians 1:6, and Romans 11:36 and why they remind me that what God is doing is bigger than me. He began the work, He is faithful to continue it, and ultimately, it is all for His glory.
Then, here’s what’s happening around Proclaim Ministries:
P — PRAISE | God’s Faithfulness
I’m praising God for His faithfulness throughout my life—the smooth roads, the rocky roads, and even some of the potholes I created myself. Through it all, He has remained faithful.
U — UPDATE | Resources for Parents
Did you know Proclaim has free resources specifically for parents? I highlight a couple available through the Proclaim Ministries app and website, including Help for Impulsive Kids and the Parent Pocket Guide, designed to help parents have better conversations with their kids after church, Sunday school, or youth group.
Instead of simply asking, “Did you have fun?” try questions that help your kids actually talk about what they experienced, learned, and thought about.
L — LESSON | Do for One
I’ve been thinking about a statement from Andy Stanley:
“Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.”
Sometimes we don’t help because we know we can’t help everybody. But not being able to do something for everyone doesn’t mean we can’t do something for someone.
You may not be able to give everyone $100.
You may not be able to support every need.
You may not be able to solve every problem.
But you can do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.
S — STORY | Consider Others
That lesson connects with our Consider Others shirts and a simple challenge I’ve given myself: when someone compliments the shirt while I’m wearing it, I want to be ready to give one away.
I can’t give a shirt to everybody—but I can give one to somebody.
The phrase Consider Others reflects the biblical principle of looking beyond ourselves and considering the needs and interests of others. It’s something I want to practice personally and encourage others to live out as well.
E — ENGAGE | Who Is Your One?
Here’s the challenge for this PULSE:
What is one thing you can do for one person that you wish you could do for everyone?
Look around.
Who can you encourage?
Who can you help?
Who can you bless?
What do you already have that could make a difference for someone else?
You don’t have to change everybody’s world.
Use what you have to help who you can.
