In this edition of Proclaim PULSE, I’m sharing what God is doing through Proclaim Ministries, some resources you may not know we have for students, and a question I’ve been revisiting in my own life:
What is mine to do?
Not everything that needs to be done is mine to do. Not every opportunity is my assignment. But when God has given me something to contribute, I want to offer it faithfully and trust Him with what happens next.
P — PRAISE
I’m praising God for VC Family Church and the place my entire family has found there to worship, grow, serve, and belong. I’m especially thankful for the opportunity I have to work directly with kids and families and use the gifts God has given me.
U — UPDATE

L — LESSON I’M LEARNING
The question I keep coming back to is:
“What is mine to do?”
There is so much noise telling us what we should be doing. Sometimes we say yes because of guilt, comparison, pressure, or simply because everyone else seems to be doing it.\
But faithfulness doesn’t mean doing everything.
It means discovering what God has given you to do—and doing that well.
S — STORY
Recently, I had an opportunity to contribute some ideas and experience to help our church use its app more effectively for ministry and communication.
On the way into the meeting, I found myself wondering if I was overstepping or forcing my ideas on people. But I realized that my responsibility was simply to bring what I had to offer with a servant’s heart and open hands.
I can offer it. They can take it or leave it. My responsibility is to be faithful with what God has given me.
Success isn’t always getting the response we hoped for. Sometimes success is simply obedience.
E — ENGAGE
So here’s the question I want you to wrestle with:
What is yours to do?
Is there something you’ve been hesitant to say, share, start, serve in, or contribute because you’re worried about how someone might respond?
Take it before God.
Ask Him:
“God, what is mine to do?”
Then be faithful to what He puts in front of you and trust Him with the results.

Discussion & Reflection Questions
Is there a specific area in your life right now where you feel pressured to do everything instead of focusing on what God has assigned to you?
Have you ever hesitated to share an idea, serve, or help someone because you were worried about how they might react? What held you back?
How do we measure "success" in our ministry or personal walk when the outcomes don't look like what we expected?
Take a moment to ask God directly: "Lord, what is mine to do today?" What is one small step of faithful obedience He is asking you to take?
