9.01.26 | Black Christian, Faithful Over Famous & Salt & Light | Proclaim PULSE

Sep 1, 2026    Mister Brown

This week’s Proclaim PULSE is about faithfulness, seeing the fruit of ministry, staying rooted in our identity in Christ, and continuing to show up for what God has called us to do.

P — PRAISE | Seeing the Harvest

Galatians 6:9 reminds us not to grow weary in doing good because, in time, there is a harvest. Mister Brown shares an unexpected encounter with people impacted by ministry years ago—including hearing how something God did more than a decade ago is still bearing fruit today. Sometimes God gives us a glimpse of the harvest, and that’s worth praising Him for.

U — UPDATE | The Proclaim App Is Growing

More people are discovering and using the Proclaim Ministries app. Mister Brown gives an update on its reach and highlights some of what you can find there, including podcasts, Proclaim PULSE, kids ministry resources, leader training, parent resources, teaching, sermons, and more—all in one place without the distractions of other platforms.

L — LESSON | Christ Comes First

“I’m not a Black Christian. I’m a Christian who is Black.” Mister Brown shares why our identity in Christ must come before every other part of our identity. Race matters and is part of who we are, but for the follower of Jesus, Christ is ultimately first. He also points to a recent podcast conversation that goes deeper into this idea.

S — STORY | Faithful Over Famous

Are you always positive? Not exactly. Mister Brown shares a conversation with a longtime friend about the ups and downs of life, struggles, growth, and what it means to keep showing up even when everything isn’t going well. The goal isn’t to always feel great—it’s to be faithful. That idea is also behind his new personal channel: I Am Mister Brown — Faithful Over Famous.

E — ENGAGE | Live Your Faith in the World

Faith isn’t just something we believe—it shapes how we live. The challenge this week is to engage the world as salt and light, allowing God to form us into people who live with purpose and reflect His image. We won’t do it perfectly, but we can faithfully show up as the people God has called us to be.

Thank you for praying, giving, encouraging, and partnering with Proclaim Ministries as we continue helping people connect faith and life.
