Day 36 Psalm 90 | 40 Days of Prayer in the Book of Psalm

There is such a contrast in Psalm 90 between an everlasting God and the shortness of human life. Specifically, verse Psalm 90:12 asks for God's help in learning to count our days. It is hard for us to have a proper perspective on our own lives, but it is encouraging to be reminded that this is a part of being human. We are very small, but we are invited into a relationship with God who has an immense perspective. There is wisdom that comes with numbering our days and a hope that comes with a new day in the midst of hardship. We can trust in a God that is going to make things right.
