Day 28 Psalm 3 | 40 Days of Prayer in the Book of Psalm
Andrea R. Brown
I resonate with the tension going on in Psalm 3. I can't imagine what it was like for David when he was running away from his son, but he wasn't downplaying that he was in a bad situation. However, even in the middle of a bad situation, he rests in the fact that God is the one who protects him. He is still surrounded by enemies, but there is this peace in the middle of a storm, hiding under the shelter and shield of God. This is helpful for looking at our own trials. I cannot imagine surviving without being able to look to God and knowing He is my shield. Psalm 3 is a declaration of faith.
