Day 39 Psalm 146 | 40 Days of Prayer in the Book of Psalm

Psalm 146 begins with a cry of praise to God and it acknowledges that the rulers in power do not have the last say. That is encouraging to me in two ways. First, I am reminded that the state of God's kingdom is never in jeopardy because of the leaders. I can celebrate good leaders and mourn bad leaders, but neither get the last say. Second, in the areas that I am called to lead the weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I am invited into certain leadership roles, but it's not about me. It's about the Lord God who reigns forever. Hallelujah!
